Artesprix Permanent Thermal Transfer Markers Approved for Child Use
ASTM D-4236 Certification for Children ages 9+
August 28, 2018 (Sarasota, FL) – Esprix Impressions is pleased to announce that Artesprix™ Permanent Thermal Transfer Markers have been certified to comply with the following regulation:
ART MATERIALS CERTIFICATION to ASTM D-4236 & CFR1500.14(b)(8) (LHAMA) FOR CHRONIC HAZARDS
AND COMPLIANCE WITH FEDEREAL HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE ACT (FHSA) FOR ACUTE HAZARDS
“We couldn’t be more delighted with the ASTM D-4236 certification,” says Tonya Tremetiere, Vice President of Esprix Impressions, “From the beginning we envisioned these markers in the hands of children, but given the necessary application of heat for the sublimation process, we had to make sure kids will be safe with proper adult supervision.”
The review of the markers was performed in a manner consistent with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) guidelines found in 16CFR1500.135. The CPSC adheres to the product safety requirement intended to be used for children’s product, and the procedures and regulations followed have been filed with the CPSC.
Stringent testing was performed to provide a high degree of assurance that our product, when used as intended, is safe for the end consumer. The product has been classified as follows:
- Not Toxic
- Not a Skin Irritant
- Not an Eye Irritant
- Not Corrosive
- Not a Strong Sensitizer
Artesprix™ Permanent Thermal Transfer Markers have been approved for use by children ages 9+ and adult supervision is required when using a heat source to transfer any drawn images. When using the product, the following warnings should be adhered to:
